Villa Castelplanio: in the Marche Region, all to yourself

Holidays in the serene splendour of Central Italy
Villa Castelplanio is a historic country house, embedded in the rolling hills of the Marche region in Italy. With the estate covered in vineyards and olive groves, this traditional rustic structure is typical of that found in the Zona Collinare hills. Inland, lie the Apennine Mountains to the west, while the Monte Conero promontory faces out eastwards from the Adriatic coastline.
In this serene location, the renovated traditional country villa is surrounded by olive trees and an organically-farmed vegetable garden. The nearest building lies about 250 m away and is well out of sight. There is really very little that can disturb this rural idyll, with its soothing soundtrack made up of birdsong and stridulating cicadas. Occasionally, there’s the sound of a distant tractor and, with any luck, a golden pheasant.

Relaxation and sustainable recreation
Populated by indigenous plants, homegrown crops as well as some selected sculptures, the emphasis at Villa Castelplanio is on art and organic nature. It also features a small pond, a natural swimming pool (3 x 7 m) and a petanque court, which complement each other. All you have to do is relax and make yourself at home: the entire house and swimming pool are for your exclusive enjoyment!

Our Environs
With the historic village of Castelplanio just a 5-minute drive away, you’ll come across a bakery selling freshly-baked bread, and at least one delicatessen brimming with regional specialties. The hills around our country house are ideal for hiking and mountain biking, and the Adriatic coast is less than an hour’s drive by car. Considering that the beaches of Numana and Sirolo along the Monte Conero promontory are among the most beautiful to be found anywhere in Italy, that’s not far at all.

About us
As your hosts, we’re ready to assist you with any advice and support you might need during your stay with us. We’re close at hand in the annex next door – only 30m away. If you wish, you’ll not only receive tips and useful bits of advice, but also our homegrown vegetables, homemade wine and grape juice. It’s already been 20 years that we’ve lived on the estate practicing organic farming, tending to our olive grove, our indigenous Verdicchio vineyards, as well as our large herb garden and vegetable patch.

We hope you’ll visit us and discover this wonderful corner of Central Italy.
